Developmental milestones are signs of development or maturation in infants and children. Children go through many physical and mental changes. Although there are no two children that grow at the same rate, experts agree that there are normal signs of development that usually occur within a certain age range.

Typically developing children show considerable normal variation in achieving milestones. Children will reach developmental milestones based on their own internal clocks as well as the opportunities that they experience.

Milestones are conformed to age ranges and several factors such as social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our goal is for the children of MCCA to leave with socio-emotional, physical and cognitive gains in their development that endure and have a long lasting impact on their ability to succeed in school and to function independently.
